Top Dead Center...Digital Natives?

At a recent show, we had a really interesting conversation with a fan (and evidently a fellow guitar player!) who pointed out something interesting about us. Did you know that Top Dead Center is almost entirely a digital band? Let's explain...
Traditionally, rock bands have operated with big rigs full of drums, amplifiers, guitars, basses, and big speaker cabinets. While Top Dead Center certainly still employs a traditional drum kit (Nick would lose his mind otherwise!), the guitars and bass for the band are driven entirely by digital units - no amplifiers, tubes, or giant speaker cabinets. The aforementioned fan pointed out that, in his time watching all manner of cover bands, he had never seen a band that was running an entirely digital setup. While it is becoming more and more common to see bands (and especially guitar players) eschew tube amplifiers and speaker cabinets in favor of digital units that skip the speaker cabinet and run directly to the main sound board, guitar and bass players are often loathe to give up their analog tools. So while within Top Dead Center we're quite accustomed to our setup, hearing a fan call it out as something unique really got us thinking: If you've seen Top Dead Center recently, did you notice there were no guitar or bass amplifiers on stage?
